Philosophy & Mission

GoodKnight Tutoring emphasizes the importance of conceptual understanding over formula memorization. Building knowledge from the ground up enables students to independently reason through problems step-by-step. Ultimately, a strong foundation gives students the confidence and skillset to master challenging assignments and assessments, where they must apply the concepts new scenarios.

Meet Alison

Alison Trackman is the founder of GoodKnight Tutoring, specializing in physics and math subjects. She is a recent graduate from Carleton College with a B.A. in physics. In addition to high school tutoring experience, she was a teaching assistant (TA) and laboratory assistant (LA) for the Carleton College physics department where she supported students with coursework and lab assignments. She enjoys teaching and exploring concepts from different perspectives to match a variety of learning styles. She looks forward to assisting students in the coming academic year!
